I made the last payment to Freeman Jones on 28th Oct (IVA commenced 11/11/09). I have been told that the CC will take 10-12 weeks by FJ. There are postings on here that suggest that this should be done in 4 weeks and that 6-8 weeks should be the max. There are also many postings where people have said that they have waited up to a year. Is thee anything that I can do to ensue I receive the CC ASAP.

Hi and welcome,

You can ask them but a lot of companies are delaying because of PPI.

I won't hurt to phone them and query it.

Hi well done on completing.

Now sit back and wait basically comply with what they request (if anything) and hopefully that all important piece of paper will be with you sooner rather than later.

I'm sure there will be other FJ clients on here so maybe they can say how long theirs took to arrive.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Technically your agreement can allow for up to 9 months to close the IVA and issue the CC.

A lot of companies will try and close down earlier, some see that as their deadline and others just ignore it and work on the manana basis.

I would say if you have not received it by the end of the month start pushing on the basis that you have met your side of the agreement plus the longer it goes on it continues to promote a false view of your insolvency status.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Hi English Rose,

I have posted separately but we made our final payment in September and received our completion certificate today. We chased our final review to ensure there were no additional monies due and the whole process was relatively stress free. Good Luck!

Hopefully Steven has sorted this for you. If a dividend is payable and not all creditor claims have been received then your IP can give creditors 28 days notice to put a final claim in. It can then take a couple of weeks to write the final report and pay the dividend. Some firms however can take months.
