I need help and advice, in a nutshell, not paid Iva for 2 years, we made 1 payment at beginning of November, we where given a payment break of 1 year the our IP left the company when we where arranging repayments, we found out 1 month after she left the company. Iva company have messed us about allot, we have sent allot of emails and had a reply to most of them by different people(still don't know the name of our IP). We where told they would have to speak to our creditors about continuing the Iva but in the meantime to start making payments. we made that 1 payment but have heard nothing so we never paid in December until we hear from them. we have know received a text message(not an email or phone call) asking us to contact them. They have our email address and phone number(both mobile numbers and land line number) Also, my debts haven't gone down in the 5 years since we started the Iva. How does the payments to the creditors work. Is there any way to get out of the Iva thru there negligence or transfer to a different Iva company. Any help would be much appreciated.

You need to sit down with your current IP and try to get this resolved. Starting a new IVA would effectively put you back to square one so it would be better to sort out the existing one. You are entitled to a face to face meeting with your IP so give them a call and arrange this.

Hi and welcome,

Which company are you with?

we have just recently requested a face to face meeting, waiting to hear back from them. Apparently our IP is out of the office until 16/12/2015. I'm assuming its our IP that is out of the office because we have no idea of the name. We don't know the name of the company that our IVA is with as its has changed hands about 3 times since we took out the IVA. Hopefully we can get somewhere with them if they come out to see us.

If you check the insolvency register it should tell you which company you are with.

Hopefully your current firm can sort this out as it would be a shame to have this IVA failed. Creditors are usually fine with forgiving arrears and restarting proposals so hopefully yours can be put back on track.
