Hi at last after 6 years of ups and downs we made our final payment last month.
Was expecting some contact from gt but none so earlier this month I phoned them up to find out what happens now.......... They said they will send me out a review pack as final review needed with a timescale of 8 weeks to get through review!!!! So yesterday still not had pack so contacted them once again to be told abruptly I will receive it in new year!!! Well it's fair to say I was non to pleased with the attitude of the staff I explained for 6 years I have followed my side of the Iva bargain and now it's finished I expect gt to not stall with the cc! 8 months waiting for cc is not acceptable......... Well the response was awful blamed me for getting into debt in first place saying the creditors have had to wait to get some money back etc etc I was fuming I was denied the opportunity to speak with his manager I ended up in tears and hanging up!!
Once I composed myself I rang and spoke with a lady who I lodged my complaint with tbf she was polite respectful and appalled at the way I was spoken to. She then as promised rang me back with the good news that they had listened to the tape and actions where being taken to first individual who spoke with me and even better news that they have looked into my Iva agreement and the creditors do not require a final review as my Iva has already been extended beyond 60 months and I owe no more . My Iva is being passed to closure team with a note of priority due to the poor service gt have given me .
So my question is ...........has anyone recently received their CC from Gt/Apeture????? If so how long is the wait these days????
I'm so looking forward to mine arriving in the new year!!!
Hi kaza, my experience with GT closure was:
6 weeks for all paperwork to get to closure department (same building!!).
6 months for issue of CC.
Bonus was 2 days from getting CC to being removed from Insolvency register.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues
Hi Kaza
This all sounds so familiar! I'm very much in the same position as yourself with regards to my IVA. Last payment made in August, Then complications with a variation that was only noticed at the Closure period! Spoken to various members of staff there, again the same, very hit and miss! I've spoken to what id say are 7 different people there, and 3 of which should never really have a job in customer service! Rude, Abrupt and very condescending! On the other foot, the others went right out there way to help me and couldn't have been any more helpful, one that sticks in my mind is a gent called either, Gerald or Gerrard in the PPI dept, A massive thumbs up for him!
I was informed on the 14th Dec my variation was sorted and now moved to closure, so we will see how things go from here. But in my opinion Grant Thornton, Or Aperture as there now known as really need to up there game and sort themselves out! At the end of the day we are customers, and we pay for a service..and alot at that! I hope someone from Aperture reads this thread and takes note.
I hope you get your CC very soon. All The Best!
Chris

Sorry but I'm afraid they don't care despite the fact one of their ip's has recently been fined.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
I can't believe you were spoken to in that way, it's outrageous. From other posts on this forum GT are slow to issue CCs and take up to 6 months. GT have now become Aperature so whether the change will be a good one is unknown. Hopefully as you've made a complaint they will escalate things and close the case quickly for you. If not I would make a formal complaint.
