Dear all,

if I was given a lump sum of money after our last payment but before the CC came through, for home improvements, could this be classed as windfall which could be taken away from us?

would or should we tell our IPP?

If the lump sum is a gift it's none of their business.

If its ppi, inheritance etc. It still comes under windfall.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Sorry for your loss - mine also left us last year.

It's a gift so don't worry about it.

I'm sorry for your loss as well - lost both my parents in the past two years but as lifenoteasy says - it's a gift so no worries.

Condolences to you, a gift is just that, complete your home improvements but just remember if you have the equity clause it may increase the value of your property, just to make you aware.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

If you've already had the valuation it shouldn't be a problem.
