My IVA ended in Nov 2011 and certificate received in June 2013 (the delay was caused by ongoing PPI claims by CMC). At the time, I advised CMC and Grant Thornton that I never ever had PPI.

I now have received a letter from Slater Hayward Law to say that they are auditing the PPI claims and need my consent to contact the lenders.

My IVA is years behind me and I have moved on in life and don't want to go back to that dark place. I have advised Slater Hayward Law today via telephone that I never had PPI but I felt like I was being bullied into signing these documents.

I want them to stop sending me correspondence, this is all behind me now. Am I within my rights to not provide my consent and ask them to stop sending me these letters? Advice greatly appreciated.

Hi, I finished my iva in 2012 and EIC were dealing with my ppi claims as GT asked me to agree to sign some declaration to allow them to reclaim ppi on my behalf and to speed up getting my completion certificate (which of course we all want!!).
I was advised it may take months longer if I didn't agree to do this so I eventually agreed as they gave an incentive which stated I would be allowed a percentage back once it was all sorted although this was only minimal as I'm not that bothered anyway I just want to get it all over with.

It sounds like EIC weren't doing such a great job so they have used another company which is the one you mentioned. Actually EIC requested on their form that I would agree to them looking into my credit files (which of course I wasn't prepared to do)so refused to sign any further correspondence with them. (not that I had anything to hide but feel this should have been done whilst my iva was still live.
I have since signed all the new forms with the new company and sent them back and they do appear to be getting quite a bit of cash back from the creditors so maybe worth you doing it to keep the peace although I would suggest keeping a copy of all documentation as I have returned TWO copies of a claim to one particular creditor but the company have apparently NOT received it although I clearly have taken a copy of it twice.
Maybe you didn't sign the form however, I would double check your paperwork as I know it all started to kick off with the ppi thing in 2012.

I'm sure someone else can comment on this too. Hope you get it sorted but please let us all know how you get on.

Thanks both for the comments/replies.

Lisa - it is reassuring to know that I do not have to sign these forms and I have made the decision not to and and request they stop processing my personal data.

Many thanks, Ryan.

All the best for you moving forward.

A good answer by Lisa which I'm sure will reassure others who are looking in
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
