Hi all, i was a regulare in here during my 5 year IVA and found it very helpful. I have a question, my IVA was finished in july 2013. I still have a pretty rubbish credit score. My question is that my wife has a grade A bank account as far as her credit goes. Now if I add my name to this account to make it joint, will this have a negative effect on the rating of it now and if we need any form of credit in th future, even though my credit record now shows no evidence of my IVA. Any advice most appreciated,. thank you

Hi and welcome back,

If your credit record is back to zero then you should be ok.

Just wondering why you have a rubbish credit score if your IVA has disappeared?

Hi Mark

you may need to do a little tidying of your credit report.

You might find this quick video I made useful:

Noddle and Clearscore are also free credit agencies to consider using:

I've just applied for a vanquis card to help rebuild my credit. I hope I've done the right thing and this doesn't have a negative impact. Anyone have any experience of this.

Mine has improved since so I don't think it's such a bad idea
