I had the email from Aperture and absolutely nothing since. My IVA is up in May 2016 and now I am very worried that my nightmare will not end. If Aperture do not communicate it is very worrying.
We have interlocking IVAs with Aperture and anything I have needed to know I have had to contact them...my last payment was in December 15 but I only knew by seeing that it said final payment on my bank and so i phoned them and was told congratulations your case is now closed. My ex then received a letter saying they wanted 12 more payments as we had no equity.....when i questioned it they said it was because i hadnt sent valuations and redemption statements in.....rubbish. ....I sent them twice and i know they got them as our new I & E forms were in with them and they wrote for verification of a new outgoing that we had. When i phoned them at beginning of Feb they said to send it all again by email which I did and I asked to be let know the outcome......I found out only last Thursday (17th) when i contacted them yet again that mine was now completely closed (on the 11th apparently) and they are reviewing ex partners this week with a view to closure....
Don't wait on them to contact you hun.....phone them
Send them a letter asking them for an update. send it by recorded delivery so you have a paper trail in case you need to escalate this to a complaint further down the line.
Unless you have specifically written to them asking something they won't contact you unless they are dealing with the Annual Report, I&E review or closure or have a specific issue to deal with.
Thanks to all for the replies. I phoned Aperture this morning to be told that they do not have my details and I need to call Cleardebt. I called Cleardebt and as always they were very helpful. I was told that the handover is about 2 weeks behind schedule and that for the time being I can deal with Cleardebt.
It is a pity that Aperture are so bad at communicating as it would only take a quick email to put people's mind at rest.
I am still worried as I used to be with APEX DCM and they went bust with about 8k of my money, so my situation has been ongoing for more than 10 years.
Anyway, thank you all.
I hope you get this sorted soon. Was your original company an IVA company? If so then your money should be safe.

Mmm interesting, we were with Grant Thornton, I had a thread somewhere but I can't find it. Now been handed over to Aperture. I sent an email Friday after receiving a letter from them. They did ring me today so I think they will get in touch. If this is another name for Grant Thornton, or Gareth Neill has jumped ship, I finally spoke to a voice on the phone. After years of emails and letters, not getting anywhere. I know people will say why didn't you ring them but I got rid of the land line phone, don't have a contract phone, pay as you go. Calling them uses a lot of credit. And more to the point our IVA is paid up. We paid our 5 years, it's the to and fro of trying to complete. Now it's failed and we are back to square one because although in letters they stated that there was an option of another 12 month payment, they asked us if we wanted to go ahead. Just letters saying the same thing. All the meetings with creditors detailed, monies paid etc then the due to unable to remortgage, there maybe a need to pay for another 12 months. No reply form for consent to go ahead, no phone calls chasing our reaction. Last correspondence was to trawl the estate agents for a remortgage from 3 companies to try and get a remortgage and get confirmation of refusals. The phone call today, the lady said they knew we would never get a remortgage, so what would have been the point. We didn't have time to go round them, we both work full time and don't really want a remortgage. The other option wasn't given to us. Now we are told it's failed and they will be in touch with more paperwork. But creditors will be ringing again in a while, we started the IVA in 2005, finished 2010 and back where we started
It would seem a real shame for this to fail because you didn't make the extra 12 months of payments.
I suggest if its not too late you liaise with your IP (In writing by recorded delivery) to start making the payments or find a third party willing to gift you the money.
