My creditors meeting was today but I haven't heard whether my IVA was accepted or not but yesterday I had a letter from my main creditor saying that had been informed I has entered into an IVA and that my cards were now frozen and I was to dispose of any cards etc I had with them. Does this mean my IVA has been accepted? I am guessing the IP will phone me Monday. Thanks in advance for your help.
You should have had a call yesterday regarding this and it is bad that you haven't heard. Speak to them first thing on Monday.

No, the letter from your creditor doesn't mean you have been accepted, I am afraid.
Agree with Kallis that this is simply not good enough to leave you hanging like this over the weekend. These people should realise that they are playing with peoples lives !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
I think the letter was probably saying that they had been informed you were going for an IVA, not that it had been accepted.

Thank you for the replies. I know it is frustrating especially as it's bank holiday so I won't know until Tuesday. They did say the meeting didn't commence until 12pm and I know they close at 13:30 but it is still frustrating. I am so nervous that it won't be approved. Roll on Tuesday for good news. I have 11 creditors in total.
Sorry - I forgot it was Bank Holiday!! The meeting would be over very quickly as the voting is all done by email or fax and a lot of the votes would already have been done.
Which company are you with?

Are you in Scotland? If so then it's not an IVA it is a Trust Deed - even so they should have contacted you yesterday.

Having looked at it - I wonder who pointed you in the direction of a company in Scotland if you are in England? Just curious and please feel free to tell me to mind my own business!!

No I am in England and they were recommended to me. They've been great. Can't fault them. This is the only issue I've had with them. Just wish they would of phoned Friday when they said. Just want to know whether it's been approved or not. Guess I'll just have to wait.
I've just read their website and they don't look too bad. You will have to wait unfortunately but it is really bad that they did not get in touch yesterday.
You could check the Insolvency Register to see if you are already on there.

Thanks, I've checked and I am not on there which makes me worry more to be honest. They've said all along that they are very confident the IVA will be accepted but of corse they can't say for defiance which is understandable.
To be fair, it was only yesterday and it could be a while before it shows up on there.
Don't worry! I am sure you will be ok and get the answer you need on Tuesday. I would be on the phone as soon as they open.
These things always happen at the wrong time don't they?

They certainly do. I have read that the majority of IVAS are accepted and very few fail. My total debt is £19000 over 11 creditors. I don't have any to do with a mortgage or anything as I don't own a house. They are made up loans, credit cards, store cards and catalogues (very stupidly)!
We've all been there!! I am sure you will be ok. My debts were over £80k (some joint) and we were accepted. Yours should be finished in 5 years as you have no assets.
