I paid my final IVA payment 2nd Feb2016. I still haven't received my completion certificate. I have tried contacting my IVA company but I just get told it is being dealt with and could take upto 12 months. I have read other people's has been sorted within weeks of them making there final paymentCan anyone advise on how I can speed the process up.

Hi and welcome,

It does depend on your company but it shouldn't take that long - is there a PPI issue involved?

What company are you with?

hi
well it seems DFD haven't changed mine took 18months and the ppi was sorted my last payement was dec2010 and cc arrived june2012 really slow and makes you wonder why you pay large fees and ppi fees when customer service is crap
DFD want the business but once you stop paying your just of little coseqence as your not making them money anymore. it would be interesting to find oout how many people work in the closures dept and how many touting for new business when you phone for advice.

I think it all depends on who picks up the paperwork at the office.

Keep badgering them until they get fed up of hearing from you. I do know of people who have had their completion sorted by DFD within a few months.

12 months is not acceptable. Your IVA should have stipulated estimated closure times - the standard is 6 months but even that is far too long in my opinion.

Make a formal complaint to them in writing by recorded delivery and follow it up by complaint through the Gateway if necessary here:
