That's good scooby, hope ours is as stress free. To be fair we haven't had any issues with FJ, yes our payments have gone from £180 at the start to £422 to the end but we fully understood that it would change due to life changing over the last 6 years. We have just kept our heads down and got on with it. Have learned a very valuable lesson and it was only ever our problem to sort out. Enjoy your debt free future. We can't wait!
We were exactly the same as you and just kept plodding away every month. Our payments were very nearly £400 throughout and finished around £430. I recall challenging any increases due to our circumstances (wife's learning disability and unable to work, declared and agreed from the beginning).
We never had any spare cash ever until after our final payment and having that extra money every month is brill!
Cheers guys our payments have gone up and down every year with me working in the building industry my wages are different every week.
Our last payment will be in October so shazj it will be a race to the cc.
Today 1st of December 2016 the vultures finally flew away

Watzki, I can't wait for that cc to arrive!
shazj1007. ours was nearly 54k accrued through bad advice by a financial consultant when we moved house and essential work that we did. It was still all our own doing.
We had planned to remortgage in 2008 but the crash prevented it and left us chasing the debt for a year before our bank suggesting calling a number which happened to be FJ.
