I have an IVA started in Jan 07.I am 64 years old in Jan 09.As a civil servant my job is being privitsed in Jan 09.I have been advised to take my pension before treansfer. I would have a lump sum of £4000 and approx 345 PER MONTH PENSION. In my arrangement it states that my pension contibution is excluded. When I reach age 65 (3 years into my IVA) THE COY say that the will remortgage my house for the balance of the IVA (£13,800).

Will I lose my pension lump sum if I take it early?

Hi airborne6 and welcome to the forum

It is really a matter for discussion with your IP, but I would hope that this could be excluded as presumably you need to retain that money for your actual retirement.
