Yes I have a CCJ but that wasn't really my fault I know owing the money was my fault. But when the court papers came
through the post then I sent them back saying that I could afford £10.00 per month and then I got a letter from this Marston group saying that I had not replied to the court papers which I did as I posted it myself.
Hi all,
I have got another question for someone, when you go Bankrupt me and my Husband talked it over and we have decided that it the best solution for us.
The thing is we live in Chester but I have got a new job which is in Nantwich we think we are going to move there.
We have decided to move and then go Bankrupt we know it appears in the Local paper but we wondered would it appear in the Nantwich local paper if we lived there or the Chester one.
Can someone help me out please! as we don't want too many people to know if we can help it.
I think it is the local paper for whatever address you are living in at the time you are made bankrupt.

I think it does too, ours would go into the Birmingham mail as thats where the nearest county court is. Please dont worry, they are soooo tiny. I had never looked to find these until I started posting here it took me about 4 attempts to find it. They are really not easy to spot.
Hold your head up high, you have faced your debts and sought the solution thats right for you. Almost everyone owes something to someone, ours just got out of hand. Its so easy to fall in and end up being over your head and you know only too well its not a good place to be. Even if someone you know is hell bent of searching the local mag to find your name, they will have forgotten all about it within a week.
BR is not the stigma it used to be and I have met many a good BR or IVA friend on here. There is a new life waiting on the other side of a rubber stamp for you, take no notice of what anyone who hasnt walked in your shoes thinks.
Hello all, started my new job today it went really well, i hope i will save some money up to go bankrupt.
I have another question for anyone as I have started my new job when I go bankrupt do they tell your employer.
Its just I have heard or someone told me that they do and I really don't want to start a new job and then they are told that I am bankrupt.
Hi
I think that your payroll dept will receive a zero tax coding for you. They are not told directly but could put two and two together.
Try not to worry about it
Regards
Your new employers do not need to be informed that you are bankrupt Lyndsey, so please don't worry and enjoy getting to know your new workmates instead.

Hi Lyndsey,
You have not yet confirmed that you have spoken to an IP (as advised by Melanie and others) before you take the nuclear option of bankruptcy. Yes it will appear in an advertisement in a local paper that circularises in the area you live. Please look at www.iva.com and pick an IP to run through all your and your husbands financial details. An IVA or a Debt Management Plan might possibly be an option. Good luck.
