could I start a bussiness in IVA?

Hey Harold, welcome to the forum. There would be nothing stopping you but you would have to be sure that your IVA payments wouldn't be affected by any decrease in income. You would not be able to take out any credit so if you had start up fees, you might need some family help with that. If you want to post a few more details, the techncial experts can help further.

As Viki says - there is nothing to stop you starting a business whilst in an IVA, subject to the points she has already raised. You will need to ensure that you keep proper books and records, amd also ensure that you set aside money to pay your taxes on a regular basis.

Do you feel that you could earn at least as much as you are currently earning in salary, and what sort of business would it be?

Just food for thought,obtaining a business account is near impossible in an IVA.
If you can get around this then the best of luck to you with your new venture
