Hi there hugom and welcome to the forum

I am so sorry to hear of your sister's death and your recent marital troubles. No wonder you have not been able to deal with your finances over recent months - but it is great to see that you are back at work and moving on. I am sure that this is what she would have wanted you to be doing.

It may well be possible for you to propose an IVA to creditors, but firstly I would have a chat with an insolvency practitioner so that you can be sure to have received advice as to all options available to you. This can be done at your own convenience, either on the telephone or face to face if you prefer, and is probably the first step to reaching towards a debt free future.

May I wish you the very best of luck in finding a solution that suits you - and please do continue to post on the forum where you will find a great support network of people who have shared similar circumstances to you.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

Hi Hugom

You are in the right place for help and advice. Everyone on here is really freindly and helpfull.

As Melanie says have a chat with an IP who can discuss all your options and help you find a way to a debt free future. People speak very highly of Melanie so maybe you would like a chat with her. You could also visit www.iva.com and read the reviews on different IP's

Best of luck.
Steve.

IVA approved!

Hi Steve - having a giggle at the footer on your postings!

Who on earth would want a washing machine turning up at 10pm at night?? What sort of things are you delivering?
