Creditors cannot continue to raise charges after the date of the bankruptcy order, but even if they could this would not affect you SallyA as the debts are now covered under the proceedings. I know that this is irritating, but it is early days and the creditors are probably still updating their records to reflect the fact that you are now bankrupt.

Yes thats true Melanie, its still very early days. I however wrote to everyone immediately after my bankruptcy order was granted and sent them copies of the court documentation in an attempt to stop the letters / phone calls as I find them so distressing. It hasn't helped but I know in time I will all stop and the poor OR will have to deal with all these people for me. And I suppose, in hindsight, I can understand why they chase people so relentlessly as it is their money and they have every right to want to get it back.

The OR will also be writing to them as well, so the messages is bound to get in there eventually!

I can also say that my examiner was very fair and approachable.
