It differs from company to company, mine was about 6 weeks after sending my documentation back.

Which IVA company are you with?

Hi and welcome.

Mine was about 8 weeks from start to finish.

Hi,

Payplan replied to my e-mail beginning of October & I have my creditors meeting on 26th of this month, I think it depends on the complexity of the proposal & how quickly you can forward the info required to the IP Company.

It really depends on how much information you are supplying your IP with. If you have statements from all of your creditors, recent wage slips, bank statements etc and you have a new bank account set up, then your proposals can be drafted and sent to you to check and sign within a matter of days.

If you are unable to provide all of this information imeediately then the process will take a bit longer.

Help your IP as much as you can and I can assure you that it will not take long at all

Once you are happy with the proposals and have signed them and sent them back to your IP it will be another 3-4 weeks before your creditors meeting.
Kind regards, Elizabeth Pywowarczuk, Insolvency Practitioner.

Six to eight weeks is generally the norm, but it could be a lot quicker or longer depending upon the circumtances of your particular case.

Hi Poppy

I went with Debt Free Direct, as they were fairly local to me, are they any good?

Hi kc1

I know the temptation is to want it to happen straight away and I felt that way alos, but please make sure that you are happy with everything and any questions you may have are answered fully and you are 100% sure of everything.

As an iva is normally a 5 year arrangement, which is a long time, please take the time now to get it right.

Have a look on www.iva.com for reviews on dfd xx
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes
