I will be coming home to a very cold house tomorrow, I don't care what me heating bill is going to be for the next couple of weeks......but I am going to be warm for sure and if I have to save money elsewhere......so be it.....can't wait to be back in the Uk, even if it's cold, wet and windy.

My central heating is on constant but is on a thermostat, it is normally set at about 18/19c but if I get really cold in the evening, I push the boat out and turn it up to 20c and put the fire on just on low! [:D] I turn it down to about 15c when I go to bed and turn it back up again in the morning. The house is warm enough though, but I am scared about the gas bill as we have only lived here 3 months and I don't know what the bills will be like [;)]

Ours is off during the night, but on all day at the moment. The radiators all have thermostats on so at least we can adjust those. We also had cavity wall insulation and top up insulation in the loft at the end of last year. We have heavy curtains in the lounge and close both those and the blinds to keep the heat in (and it's amazing how cold it is between them and the window).

I'm hoping our gas bill will be as it was last year. We coped with that one.
