Hello I'm in an IVA which started in 2005.
I paid a lump sum so it was completed shortly afterwards.
I had an accident which has left me with depressive mental health problems.
I have had to move back to my parents and have tried to work but my health is stopping me from earning good money.
I owe around £14000 on credit cards and approx £25000 to family and friends for money that has kept me going for 4 years.
I would want to long term privately pay family etc back.
What would be situation re. the credit cards and doing another IVA if I've done one before (although it was instantly settled?)
Is there any other alternative?
I claimed benefits at one point which come to £320 a month and I can earn more than that even working a couple of days a month but not enough to pay my outgoings.
I recommend that you speak to an IP as soon as possible. IVA's for people on benefits can be difficult to arrange.
Visit either www.iva.com, or click on the expert link on the left hand side of the page where there is a list of IP's who post on here and come recommended.
They should be able to explain your options to you.

I'm confused about the dates here. Are you saying that you began to borrow money again straight after your last IVA was concluded? If so, that is a concern in itself, together with your desire to want to repay family and friends in preference to other creditors.
I would look to a DMP to be honest, as I don't feel an IVA is right for you unless you can justify the additional debt and you are prepared for your friends/family to receive the same dividend as everyone else.
Melanie is right. Need to establish why and how you got into debt again following doing an IVA with a F&F. Thereafter whethyer a new IVA is appropriate can only be decided after you take advice from an IP.
