That is great that Andy has been able to give you some advice and support, and that you have decided that the IVA is the right way forward.

Hi Melanie, Andy was excellent and explained it in plain english what IVA is and the whole process involved Hubby is acting like he has won the pools he said he has been trying for ever to make me see I had a problem with spending!!! The comp CAB had recommended were good but as you said used to dealing with corporate rather than personal debt.

Hi Lawbel and welcome.

This site is such a support for anyone starting out on the iva road, myself included. Please keep us uptodate with your progress.

My creditor calls started the day after missing the first payment (Nov) and they still ring me up to 10 times a day now!

All creditors have had letters explaining my situation, and most have replied saying thanks for letting us know, and please update us, but then they ring again! I never answer, it's pointless trying to explain to someone in a foreign call centre about iva's, they will not listen, and it causes me great stress. So, i now just reject the calls on my mobile, and the one's to my home number now go straight to answer machine.

Please don't let them get to you.
Life is a rollercoaster, we just have to ride it!

iva approved. 5 down 55 to go
