There have been a few on here accepted.

Have faith in your IP. He/she wouldnt be putting this forward if they werent confident of it being accepted.

Good luck

Hi,
Just want to wish you good luck with your creditors meeting.
The 13th of Feb is a good day for me , it's the day my gorgeous daughter was born and it's her 1st birthday when you have your meeting. So I'll be wishing you luck and hope it's something you can celebrate too.
All the Best....And let us know how you get on.

And it's my wedding anniversary, so it's bound to be a good day!

Friday 13th is also my 10th anniversary of working for McCambridge, Duffy which seems to have gone in a lot quicker. I am in the lucky position of enjoying my job and for a number of years had the pleasure of working with Melanie Giles. What I learned from her was invaluable. So a few of us will have something to celebrate next Friday and hopefully cva will be one of us. Best of luck.

I had a lump sum IVA approved last week, and have been over the moon ever since. Stay positive, I know it's hard, but I will keep my fingers crossed for you as well!

just seen the latest BBC stats on personal insovencies - the last 3 months of 2008 so over 10 000 IVA's and over 19 000 personal BR's - a 220% increase on the same period as 2007
scary times as they say

I wonder if the this will mean longer lead times as the insolvency depts of the major banks/CC comps must be a rushed off their feet . ( as I suppose all the IP's must be )

interesting to know if this huge increase will refelect in how creditors deal with IVA's - will they get tougher ? will tehy get easier ? or will they just follow the usual strict protocol

Not too sure where Gord's figures came from, the actual increase on that quarter last year is 18.5% - still significant though! Corporate failure is over 50% higher over the same two quarters.

Another interesting statistic is tht 85% of bankruptcies are now by way of debtor's petition rather than creditors.

My firm had 12 approved over the last 5 days. The numbers are growing and the easing on some creditors behavior is helping.

Gords figures did come from the BBC Melanie - that was what they put out on the news yesterday.

Lies, lies and statistics - all over again! For a full set of all of the results, which does make quite interesting reading, have a look at the Insolvency Service's website.
