i am struggling on sick pay. i have electric and gs bills and water rates i can't pay and phone now temp cut off use. i have sent bills and begged for help from iva and all they say is i owe 3 months at £200.0 a month for debt of £38000 and i am single mum. i get no help financially and i am taking home £1500 a month and bills come to £ 1300 a month. i can't get help or any sensible answer from ip. they keep saying pay up or br will follow. i may have to leave work due to stress and my declining health, may only be allowed to work 20 hrs a week.becoming so stressed and feel like life isn't worth living. also can you tell me what 72 month iva is as this may help.

Hi there and welcome to the forum. Sorry that you are unwell at the moment and I do hope that things will improve for you soon.

Your IP is appearing to be very unhelpful, and this is not acceptable. They owe you the decency to at least listen to your difficulties and comment appropriately. Have you tried arranging a face to face meeting with the IP personally? Which firm are you with?

Do you have any assets which would be at risk under bankruptcy proceedings - such as a house with equity in it, or a car worth more than £2,500? If not, then it may be well worth considering bankruptcy proceedings as an alternative.

my ip is paul johnson and neil geddes at kingsgate insolvency. all i get is letters saying talk to them. i can't as phone line blocked as i can't pay the bill. am going to write again as they have not acknowledged my send ing in bills and letter asking for a review.
