Token payments I stopped paying into my DMP as I am trying for a iva but have been contacted by 2 creditors asking for a token payment should I pay them or wait to see the outcome of my iva thanks s544

The choice is yours - we never made any to our creditors, but some people do.

It makes no difference to the outcome of your meeting whether you make a payment or not.

Ask what your IVA provider suggests!

I dont think it makes any difference,use what you would have been spending on toekn paymewnts to make a little contingency kitty for emergencies during your iva.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

It makes very little difference to the outcome of the IVA, but could stop you being harrassed in the meantime if you make a gesture to the creditor. If you are going to do this, try and pay a little to each one of your creditors to avoid unfairness.
