I have just been sent some of our records back e.g. p60, wageslips etc from our IVA company and in this mail there was also some documents of another clients who has got an IVA. Is this a data protection breach? and what shall I do about this and the documents

I would contact your IP and arrange to post them back. People are only human and occasionnally mistakes happen.

It is probably a genuine mistake, so just send them back with a covering note.

We had this happen to us, we just phoned Payplan and told them, then returned the items to them.

we had this happen twice
i think with payplan they must only use 1 printer,but they still should check what they are putting in the envolope
cc received 6th January 2014 now upwards and onwards

I got another couple's passports when I had my documents sent back. I sent them back and was reimbursed postage. Made me lose a little faith in the company I had chosen to put forward my IVA - but IVA was accepted on 6th April - so they didn't make any mistakes there!

Ours were payslips belonging to a prison officer - I don't suppose he would be happy if he ever found out!
