One thing that Payplan have which is good is an application called justabank which gives you all the information you need regarding your IVA including all your payments to date which is very informative also you can e-mail your IP direct though this facility & in my experience the response has been swift which is good if you have any urgent issues!

There are no guanrantees at the end of the day so go with your instincts I personally can only to date say good things[:)]

For all of you who are being told what you are allowed to spend - please insist that you use your actual figures, unless these exceed the CCCS maximum guidelines in which case you may need to see if it would be possible to make cuts.

If you do not operate your IVA on the basis of your actual expenditure, it is likely to fail within the early months on affordability.

I'm surprised you were allowed to claim £35 for Sky Jan, the normal allowance for that is £21.

I think Jan is trying to say that her sky costs £35 which she has to find out of the housekeeping budget. Jan, please correct me if I am wrong.

Mine actually costs more than that, but the official allowance is £21. I fund ours out of our social allowance plus whatever else I can shave off the allowances.

We rarely go out anywhere so that is our entertainment. Daughter does give us a little towards it as she has Sky HD and we don't!

That is the spirit IVAs4us - get ready for the budgeting times - hard but achievable if you set the necessary targets.

If savings on one class of expenditure is allowed this can be used to spend as you see fit.
