hi there,
ive kinda been lurking on the outskirts and reading avidly everyone elses posts but only registered myself today.
Myself and my husband have been going thru the IVA process since early feb and our creditors meeting was scheduled for 3pm today. I have been shaking with worry all day.
At 445pm my husband rang Synergi who are dealing with our IVA and after being told the lady dealing with our case had gone home, we were also informed the meeting had been adjourned to monday as modifications were required.
The person my husband spoke to on the phone couldnt give us any more information other than that, and now im in a right state!
Does this mean its going to be accepted with modifications? I am going to have a sleepless night worrying about it now and im really cheesed off with the insensitive way seem to be handling this, ie. not phoning.
Has anyone else been in a similar position?

Also around 50% of our debt maybe more, is with LloydsTsb, and ive read bad things about them.

Welcome beaulicious, stay positive, modifications could just be as they have said... modifications, it was pretty rude for the company not to inform you when they should know how stressful this process is.
Approved 3rd June 2009 first payment made on the day.
Offer made and settled - happy days

Hi there and welcome to the forum - what terrible treatment, you'd think they could give you the courtesy of a phonecall to let you know whats going on!.

Modifications may not necessarily have any bearing on the payments you have proposed, sometimes they're to do with IP's fees.

Why don't you email your IP with your concerns and ask them whats going on. You could send that tonight and follow it up with a phonecall first thing?

thanks for your support, ive calmed down a little now but i dont know how im going to get thru the weekend, i was counting on knowing one way or the other, now i still feel in limbo.
At least it wasnt a definite no, and im trying take positives from the fact that modifications have been asked for, surely thats a good sign? I just dont know what to think.
I am really unhappy with Synergi, and just wish we had looked around a little more before using them.
Apparently the lady dealing with our case is going to ring tomorrow, so hopefully she will shed a little more light on the situation ( better late than never) [}:)]

Don't wait for her to phone you, get in touch first thing. I'm glad you're feeling a little calmer, sometimes just posting your concerns helps.

Not unusual for mods to be added, but your IP could have phoned to let you know what was going on.

A lot of my debt was with lloydstsb and they accepted our proposal no bother.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

It maybe that the mods are something to do with fees.

It is bad that your case worker didn't phone you and tell you what was going on.

I hope it all goes ok tomorrow, and let us know what the outcome is.

hi beaut. Definately. I am in a similar position. Im on my 2nd adjournment. It may be nothing to do with you it may be an ip variation. Thing is they have not rejected and think there is a feasible solution that can be reached with some give and take. I know you wont sleep well tonight and you have been handled poorly but sure we will get there in the end

That is pretty poor client service to be frank. I would refer this to the IP handling your case, and ask him/her to intervene personally.

I agree with Melanie and synergie do have a poster here that occasionally looks in. You have had terrible service.

Ring up your nominated IP asap and find out what is going on.

Let us know and don't worry adjournments do happen.

thanks for all your kind words. I have just spoken to a very nice lady at Synergi and she tells me our creditors are looking for an increase of £21 a month, which is fine and theres also amendments to be made to the Fees, which a couple of you mentioned yesterday.
Apparently once she receives approval of the amendments its a done deal, even though a second creditors meeting is still scheduled for monday? Hmm should i be jumping for joy yet?
She said theres nothing to worry about at all.
Im too much of a pessimist to celebrate just yet.
Will keep u updated and thanks again, its really helped to offload my worries on here.

It sounds as if it is almost there now, bar the shouting, and am glad to see that you found someone friendly to talk to eventually.
