We are having our second annual review. I pay my step parents to look after my child £50 per week. My IP wants a letter setting out how much I pay them. I don't want to tell them about the IVA so I don't want to ask them for a letter. Another reason is they are not registered for childcare and they claim benefits they are pensioners and the money I give them helps them a lot. but i am stuck in a catch 22 situation? Any ideas?
Could you tell them it is something to do with Tax Credits and the HMRC need a letter?
Just a thought.

Hi
Difficult one.
Your IP is just doing their job and will not check any further once they have the letter.
Could you draft it and jus ask your step parents to sign as you need to show your bank/mortgage co details of your expenditure ?
Regards
Can you show evidence of the payments - ie cheques made payable to your parents? Clearly you parents in receiving money which they possibly ought to be paying tax on are leaving themselves open to some risk here?
