Is it possible to separate a joint IVA?

My husband and I have a joint IVA which we are in the 4th year of paying. We are struggling with the payments and he wants to go bankrupt but I would like to keep paying my IVA so that I can keep my bank account etc. This would also bring our payments down.

How would we go about this and would it cost us any more in IP fees?

Many thanks.

Do not rush into anything. Speak to your IP and perhaps you could get a reduction in payments which would both of you to finish your IVAs. It is possible to split IVAs but it may be unnecessary in your cases when a reduction may be better.

Hi
You are quite close to the end of your IVA and if your husband went bankrupt he may have to pay into his bankruptcy for three years
Speak with your IP asap
