I had my iva accepted on 27th November and i gave them the date to take the first payment out and they said i would recieve a welcome call and a letter of my case, so far nothing, no phone call, money hasn't been taken and no letter. Is it meant to take this long ? i am just concermed now because the help i got while my case was going through was exceptional and now nothing.
any ideas help? i have been in touch with dfd and they said i will recieve a call but surely the money should have come out when they said it would not just randomly?

Oh no becca21 not good but hopefully just a glitch that will be ironed out very soon. Decalan may be around soon to advise.

A DD/SO should be set for the same date each month as it helps with our budgets and a date to suit us is always helpful. Pester them for reassurance although you shouldn't have to I do realise that.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hope you get this sorted Becca, I'm sure it's just a glitch in the system.

Legally this paperwork should have been sent to you within 4 days of your creditors meeting. I would give them a ring this morning to find out where it is.

I am with DFD and found them very good. It is possible the Royal mail has lost it etc. 27th was not that long ago I would not worry afterall it has been approved. I am approaching my 2nd year (April) with them and they have been great. Just think that from January a fresh start no more hassle from your creditors etc.

I would not worry just yet Becca, my payments with DFD go out on the 27th of each month and whilst the paperwork arrived promptly after the creditors meeting (and my 'welcome' call) my first payment wasn't taken until almost 4 weeks later - I would guess that your first payment will go out after a similar period of time.

With mine we were told that our first payment had to be made within 28 days of the meeting and we were allowed to pick our payment date.

That's with Payplan though, not DFD.
