very helpful going to send all the information over for us to read, really scared, but health is suffering, OH being supportive to a point, went through everything, going to see if this is the route to go, tbh dont see another way out. Anyone else felt like this, all replies welcome. Not spoken to any IP's going to give Melanie a call and a couple of others.

Melanie's company is excellent, but it won't hurt to phone one or two more via www.iva.com.

We've all felt like this at some point, you're not alone there.

Hi Kazzer I can empathise with you and know the feeling you're experiencing, as Jan said I think we've all felt like this at some point, you're doing the right thing by ringing Melanie and talking to a couple of others, this way your options will be explained to you in detail and hopefully you'll find the right answer for you.

I hope other half continues to be supportive and things work out well for you, all the best x

Hi Kazzer and a warm welcome to the forum

I'll be delighted to help you find the right solution to fit your circumstances. No debt problems are worth your health suffering from, and you will feel far better once you have broken the ice and made that first phone call. Remember we are here to help you and not to pass judgement.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

Hi Kazzer and welcome to the forum,

You've made a brilliant decision seeking advice from Melanie. You'll start to feel better after discussing it properly. Good luck and as the others have said, we've all been there and will support you all the way.

xx

Hi Kazzer,

I'm just about in same position as you, called a few IP's then got to speak to melanie and her team and decided to use her company as was very good advice and best possible option came from her. I am now just waiting on some documents that are needed to arrive so I can forward to her team and hopefully get moving.
It is a bit scary and you will have a few things to do, like sort a new bank account, get various statements and balances and so on. You will also start to get the dreaded calls, I have opted not to answer for now and have my answerphone with an unobtainable tone for numbers I don't want to answer and mobile to auto reject same numbers.
once you start you will begin to feel as the burden is being lifted and that you will be able to manage, I have written some spread sheets now to help me prepare my budgeting in advance and from my discussions with Melanie and staff looks very do able. We have already put a few cost cutting measures in place, mostly with our shopping routine. We have explained to our children (who are now adults) and they brought there own beer with them when they came over at xmas day, Bless um. But it does help to talk about it and you will get loads of support on here.
many a mickle makes a muckle ...... if only I hadn't spent all the mickles

Good luck Darkdogs...you have made a great choice in your IP.
I came into this world with nothing and still have most of it left!
