Hi Shel, glad to hear your IVA is running well and I'm sure the last 18 months will fly by. One of our professionals will be along soon to give exact advice but in the opinion of a fellow person within an IVA it shouldn't be a problem, but do wait for professional advice. All the best Shel. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Unfortunately you cannot be a trustee as a regular poster here confirms on the above thread. If you only have 18 months to go how has this not been noticed before?

No problem Lesley. It seems a very harsh rule and makes no sense at all.

That seems so harsh- someone is prepared to give up time and energy for a charity and can't because of an IVA.

Any idea what the thinking is about this rule Michael?

Oldfashioned prejudice is probably the height of it Julie, along with Charity Commission ignorance about the reasons for personal insolvency and the steps people take to address their financial difficulties.
