Hi there. Im entering the fifth year of my iva. Part of my agreement is that after the fifth year, i must realise a sum of approx £7000 by the equity in my house. if my present lender wont allow a remortgage, the agreement will last another year. I really dont want this to happen and want to clear this asap. ive spoken to my mortgage lender, and they will not approve a remortgage in a year. My question to you is, who is the best company(s) to approach in relation to remortgaging whilst still in an iva. I realise the interest rate will be high but just want this to be rectified asap as i feel i have enough equity in house to get my finances sorted out once and for all. Any help/advice would be most gratefull. Many thanks

Hi
I think it is very difficult to obtain a mortgage at the moment if you have a current IVA. Try a couple of brokers and possibly some secured loan companies
Do you have a relative or friend that could loan the 7k ?
