I completed an IVA in May 09, with the paperwork taking until Dec 09 to be registered as finalised. Its due to drop off my file in June next year anyway. Am trying to find out my options re mortgages. Current mortgage I have is on a property that we rent out with permission from our mortgage provider - can I get remortgage this on a proper buy-to-let mortgage? or does my IVA status mean I can't get a buy-to-let mortgage? And can I also get a mortgage to buy a property to live in myself at the same time? My husband is a joint applicant with no adverse history.

Hi
If yur IVA is off your credit file you should find it easier to obtain a mortgage, it helps to have a good sized deposit. Use a mortgage broker to search the whole of market for you
