I have an IVA - is there any allowance for a holiday or break away of any kind? and what about Christmas - can I buy my kids presents? I am with Payplan and the info we have been given seems a bit sketchy - noyt a lot of contact from our case officer

Hi welcome to the forum,
You need to save from your other allowances for Christmas and holidays, a lot of people use the £9.50 holidays with the Sun newspaper,

You are not given an allowance at all. You need to save from other allowances as Pandy says.

Questions like this are perhaps better asked before an IVA is presented - but in reality there are no allowances for things like this which are expected to be funded from specific contingency allowances and savings in other areas.

We do the Sun holidays each year. Can't wait to go on a holiday longer that 5 days next year when we have finished.
With Christmas we get things over the year to spread the cost. xx
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!
