can anyone reccomend a good iva company please, i've heard of debt free direct, and chasesaunders personal fiancial solutions, who i believe have gone into liquidation!
All the professionals who post on the forum come highly recommended and it's a good starting point to look at www.iva.com for a list of companies and some reviews. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
I don't know if I am allowed to mention names or not, but I am with Bridgestones and I have never had a problem with them.
I've had a 12 month payment break during my IVA and lots of help. In fact, I was on the phone to them only today and have just salvaged my IVA when it looked for all the world like it was going down the pan.
As I say, I really can't fault them at all. The lady who deals with my case has been fantastic all the way through and today was just another example of that.
Considering I did no research whatsoever and basically went with the first company I came across out of blind panic I think I have been really fortunate.
I'm with Payplan and have had no problems with them so far.

We are with cleardebt who have been rally good. We're one year in and have had the misfortune of hubby's car being beyond economical repair and they allowed us to reduce our payments to afford a lease car. They - and importantly this forum - have been fantastic over the past 18 months.
Try a few and I'm sure you'll get a good feeling from at least 1. 5 years is a long time - make sure you find someone you can trust.
Hi Patricia - welcome to the forum - as you can see there are lots of companies that come recommended, best thing to do is look at the reviews on the website Lesley suggests and also read some posts on here to hear other posters experiences. Speak to 2 or 3 companies to compare what you have been told and you can then decide who you are comfortable moving forward with.

I haven't even had my creditors meeting yet but I can only say good things about Jones Giles. They are so nice to me when I phone/email in a flap and they even discovered I'm on the wrong tax code! Really happy with them.
Would also recommend calling 2 or 3 from iva.com and see what they say.
Teal - I think there are plenty of suggestions on here for Patricia to be going on with.
