Hi,
We've moved and I have arranged for Sky to install TV/Phone/Broadband at a cost of £42.50 per month.
We need a phone, we definitely need broadband, and the Sky package element of that payment is quite small. Where we are living the TV reception off an aerial is unacceptably poor, so need Sky.
I don't think this is an unreasonable expenditure item, especially when split between 2 people in ration to their incomes.
My partner is concerned that she was once told over the phone by a collections person for Lloyds/TSB, that Internet wasn't a necessity so should be cancelled. I think this is untrue, given the government want internet access to be universal, plus I need it for work, and we both need it for OU study.
Regards
Mr W

Hi, I have a sky package, internet, satellite and telephone, there is nothing to worry about so long as you maintain your IVA payments. I don't feel it's a luxury, you're allowed a basic sky package and anything on top of this is funded by you via other allowances. Internet and telephone come very cheap via the Sky package as opposed to independant suppliers too.
You're fine with the internet.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
