Hi all, can anyone tell me how long our names should stay on the iva register keeping in mind that our iva was a one off full and final?

As soon as the iva is completed your name can come off the register. It remains on your credit file for a full 6 years from the date the IVA was agreed.

Hi Luckycharm
Think I am in the same position as you and as far as I am aware a copy of the completion cert will be sent to Insolvency Service and then your name will be removed
F & F Accepted 19th Oct 2010

That's right - I think it should come off within a few weeks of the certificate having been sent.

On the bottom of the insolvency register where you name is listed it says that an IVA will stay on your file for 3 months after completion - at which stage it will be removed from the register !

That is most annoying as it never used to be 3 months after the iva completion certificate has been sent in.

That could now mean waiting upto 3 months for the certificate and another 3 months for it to come off the register. Unbelievable!
