I've been lurking on here for a while so thought it about time I posted to say hello.
I started my IVA a year ago and, despite a few teething problems, its all gone reasonably smoothly. Just had the annual review and payments are going to stay the same.
This month's proving a bit tricky though as the car went in for a rear bearing replacing and it turned out both sides were shot so it cost me twice as much - I've got about £7 to last me the rest of the month (think a bit of beggin to folks is in order!)
I can't even ask for a payment break to cover it as my IVA payments already gone out this month. Oh well, beans on toast for the rest of the month then!!
It may still be worth getting permission to miss next months payment so you can repay any money you need to borrow this month. I am sure your IP will be sympathetic and welcome to the forum.
Welcome to the forum from me too.
So pleased to hear of your review going well, I think u will find the time will fly by after the first year. To me the first year was a learning curve n it's starts to get easier with budgeting. Sorry to hear about the car & I know where u are coming from when it comes to cars! Our mot/service is in June/July, so after Xmas I spend the months coming up to it building up a car fund, n hoping nothing else goes wrong!
Good luck with the rest of your journey n let us know how u r getting on.
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X
