Myself and my partner have seperate debts but would like to 'club' them together and pay into an IVA together (we have opened a joint account in preparation), would we be able to do this? I have around £13,000 debt and my partner has around £40,000 debt

Hi Samantha and welcome to the forum, an interlocking IVA can be set up. Two separate votes but one payment basically I believe is how I should describe it.

Why not take a look at www.iva.com for a list of companies and some reviews of these. Always take the advice of 2 or 3 companies to ensure you receive impartial case specific advice, the advice will be Free and all debt solutions can be discussed. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi samantha & welcome to the forum from me too,

I agree with Lesley above & do take a look at the site Lesley has directed you too.

My husband & I have a interlocking IVA & make one payment.

Good luck in taking the steps to sorting out your debts together, I'm sure one you have spoken to 2-3 companies you will feel better about your situation. Keep us posted.
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

Welcome from me as well. Hubby and I had joint debts and I had others as well and we have seperate IVA's. The payments come out on the same date though so I always think of it as being 'joint'.

Hi Samantha - as you can see the interlocking IVA scenario is a common one among many posters. Once you have spoken to a couple of experts to og over your situation in more detail you will fully understand the process and be able to confirm if it does look like it will be viable in your case. Other options will be discussed with you as its important that you know about all options and the implications of each but then once you know everything you can make the best decision to suit you both.

Lastly, welcome to the forum - you've found the best place for help and support. :-)
