Foggy - I replied to what you posted and whether the variation was pushed through under duress is a different matter again. But that's a strong accusation without knowing the facts and we don't know enough case specifics. It may well be that the IP was giving sage advice. We have seen creditors rejecting 12 month extensions and insisting the term is varied to 24 months.
They do seem to be less than helpful PaulMartin. If you want to make a complaint, you first need to make a complaint via their internal procedures which they are bound to explain to you. If you do not receive satisfaction from the company you are with, you can then go to their regulators (named on their headed paper and website).
