Hi , im in an iva with payplan . Only on second payment but company i do work for made a mistake with money owed to me so didnt pay me enough. I have changed my standing order to pay into iva two weeks later than i should . Next month would be back to normal , is this ok doing this as i cannot afford to pay full 470 at moment.
Im now budgeting alot better and should have an emergency fund by christmas .

Hi,

Have you spoken to your case officer? If not then I suggest that you do so first thing tomorrow so they know what is happening.

As said above, the main thing is to keep your IP in the loop. There aren't many problems that can't be overcome or worked around within the terms of the IVA, as long as you communicate them to the IP as soon as possible.

As said above always speak to your case officer, I shouldn't think it will be a problem, but always communicate, I've found this the best way

You must not just change the nature of your IVA standing order without speaking to your IP or their representative and informaing them of what is going on. If you do not tell them in advance they will think you have simply missed your 2nd payment which does not really make for a very good start to your IVA. As always communication is the key.

Let them know what you intend to do,preferably before you do it,but as James says communication is key.
