I took on an IVA in October 2006 and paid it off in full in April 2009 so it will come off my credit record this October. However as I am looking to rent a new property I have got a copy of my credit report and Lloyds Bank who were one of my creditors still have me down as defaulted and payment not satisfied. All of my other creditors have me down as default satisfied. Is this right and if not can I get it changed? All of the records are correct in saying that the IVA has been discharged which is good but I am concerned that the information Lloyds have on there could make things worse than they are for the next few months! I know the IVA will still be on there for a few months which is fine but the way it comes across from Lloyds is that I just ran away from the debt and it's not clear that it was part of the IVA. Any advice would be great, thank you
Your IVA will fall off the record in October this year. If there are any creditors who have defaulted you after the date of acceptance then you need to write to the data controllers for those creditors, enclosing a copy of your completion letter, and tell them to remove those defaults.

I only had my CC yesterday so early days for me regarding cleaning up my CC. My IVA and defaults should fall off my credit file in November but I have noticed that LLoyds have defaulted me a couple of months after my IVA was officially agreed. I will be doing what Kallis advises in the next weeks or so (I have 3 separate default entries from Lloyds, overdraft, credit card and loan). I have checked Experian and Equifax so far, can't seeem to log onto Call Credit. Are they the only 3 I need to look at?
IVA finished Oct 2011, CC received 27 April 2012, No longer on Insolvency Register 01 May 2012. Jan 2013 - all Credit Files squeaky clean
Lloyds are just downright slack when it comes to updating credit files with accurate information.
The important date is the Default date, the account will drop off your credit file six years after this default date, irrespective of the account being marked as satisfied.
The defaults on my file were about two months later than my IVA date so not really worth the hassle of getting them corrected, I have just left them alone and they are nearly all deleted. Only two to go now and totally clear, At last!!
I'll certainly be clearing mine up - Lombard Direct have defaulted me every month since the IVA started.
