Hi
Any news out there on this? Completed IVA after 5 years and 6 months extension, therefore 6 years up on 2nd of August it looks more likely my 6 years will be up and I will not have completion certificate. Any one offer advise on how to clear up credit file without certificate? Or is this impossible.
IVA was with GT hence given up the idea of having certificate this side of Christmas.
Keep with it, keep going there is an end.

Hello
Firstly, check the insolvency register to see if your entry is still there, if it is then experian for example, will not remove until it disappears even if after 6 years has expired because it confirms that you still remain in an IVA. If on the other hand you have your certificate then this is your evidence to supply to all agencies to get removed.
The other thing to do is get your credit files and look at when the defaults are entered,Experian, Equifax and Callcredit. In some cases, defaults are entered six months after the start of the IVA which means that they wont drop off until 6 months after the end date of the IVA, but you could be lucky that they have dropped off. You can write to the creditors to remove if need but it would be difficult for them to action unless you can prove with your certificate.Anyway I think they should have all dropped off by now.
So the key is get your certifcate, credit files and check the entries, I would warn you that even if the creditors have entered defaults after 6 months may take time to remove.
As for the completion certifcate, I would contact your IP directly ASAP to find out when the final creditors meeting will be to distribute the contributions, normally after this meeting would take about two weeks to get your certificate, would be even better to get an electronic copy via email? Also make sure you ask your IP to contact the Insolvency Service to remove your details, sooner the better.
Anyway, fantastic news your IVA has finally ended [:)]
Hope this helps?
