I completed my IVA in May & should receive my completion cerificate by the end of the month.\my husband suffered a stroke 2 years ago and our house is in his name. There is no mortgage on the house but we need to raise £35000for work that needs to be done to the house & to pay off his loan & credit cards. The houses value is £240000. As he is 70 & all his pensions are taken for his care is there anyone who will give me a mortgage for the £35000, I have been advised by a broker to get him to sell it to me as I wouldnt receeive a mortgage for about 6-12months after my name was put on the deeds.i dont want to do anything illegal as the house is diregarded by the council as I am his wife and live there.

Hello,

We have a mortgage broker who posts on here, his name is Ryan and his details can be found under the 'Ask a Question' link on the left hand side of the page. He has helped several posters to get a mortgage.

Give him a call for some free advice.

I would hope that if you contact Ryan our resident forum mortgage broker, or a broker in your area that they would be able to work with you to find a solution to ease your worries.

Ryans details are under the experts page or the a-z of members.

Let us know how you get on .

I wish they would rename the 'Ask a question' link as the 'experts page' - be much easier to sort out!!
