I made my final payment to GT in March this year I've received loads of phone calls from them re PPI claims everytime I have told them I wasn't mis sold PPI and have requested a call from the closure department to find out where i'm up too. As its now 4 months on and i've still not heard anything I have just called them and have been told that it takes 6 months to close all IVA's and if I want a responce from the closures department I would need to make the request today and then call back in 10 days to find out what their responce is. My question is this normal does it actually take 6 months to close down or it is just very bad customer service from GT?????? I'm starting to get really down about the whole thing now I thought I'd finally got to the end. Thanks

Hi newbie77.

Unfortunatley GT do currently advise that cases are typically taking 6 months to close.
I cant really comment on the call back situation because I always use email, I find it more efficient that way but 10 days sounds like very poor service indeed.

Have you emailed their dedicated closure team on - iva.closures@uk.gt.com - You may get a better response that way.

Hope this helps and let us know how you get on.

Mine took 4 months, and there was no call upon me regarding PPI.

If they did ask i would be honest and say requested PPI and i also claimed once off one of my PPI so there is no chance of claiming anyback.

I did phone/email my IP's office monthly for an update and tbh i was at there mercy, its a great feeling when they give you an actual closing date.

Hi antm
I'm really keen to know how soon after a certificate of completion names are removed from the Insolvency Register. Would you mind posting when your name is removed by GT please pretty please.

It is really down to the speed of the Insolvency Service. I have known some take a couple of days and others take a couple of months - but I do think they have speeded up of late.

Our names were kept on the insolvency register for 3 months following completion. Not sure if that's because we finished early but they have gone now so that's all I care about!!

Thanks everyone I've emailed customer services at GT who have said that they will get in touch once they have an update from closures so fingers crossed It won't be long (still think 10 days is a terrible responce time)
