I'm in the last year of my IVA - only 12 payments to go starting 27th of August!!!! - and was just wondering if i should expect anything different to happen? I've just had my usual annual pay review and got my payslips back with no change to my monthly installments, will i have another at the end of this year? Also, will i have to complete any other forms throughout this final year to finally put an end to this chapter in my life?

I'm sure this year will go swiftly. roll on July 2013 and my final payment!!!!

Hi and well done on being so close to the end.

I think you will have to do one more review to make sure that no other extra payments are due.

Have you had to try and chase up any PPI payments? That might be the next thing - check with your IP.

Yeah, i got a letter from a company enlisted by my IVA company to reclaim PPI (although i'm pretty certain i never took out any when i got my cards/loans) and that is being processed. Apart from that i don't think i have anything else to do.

well done for getting so far, my last 12 months flew by

Whats i would say is that hopefully, the PPI & VAT issues that have created delays of many months for many fellow psoters, should hopefully be a thing of the past when you are ready for closure in a years time.

It may however be worth now asking your IVA co have all claims been recieved, as sometimes dependent on the iva company, a creditor may not have claimed even though there is apparently a time stipulation to do so at the beginning of the IVA. This happened to me with Black horse finance, however as I had asked the question about any outstanding claims, my iva co realied this hadnt been dealt with and puched the creditor to deal with, albeit it 4.5 years down the line.

Hope this helps and dont worry, before you know it, it will be August 2012 and I may even have recieved my completion certificate by then !!

good luck
Last payment made April 2012
Certificate received 1st Nov 2012

thanks for the replies guys. I know that all my creditors were included in the IVA 12 months to go so there will be no problem there. And as i said before, there shouldn't be a problem with the PPI claim as i'm fairly certain i didn't get any so fingers crossed when i make my last payment - 27th July 2013 - that will be it. done. cleared. finito.

Hopefully things will run smoothly for you during this next year. Do you have any equity release clause? as this is usually looked at in the final year. Just because all creditors have been included, does not mean that they have submitted their formal claim. Two of my creditors still had not made their claims at the end of the IVA, although they didn't hold up my completion too much. Maybe just best to check that all claims have been formally submitted, so that they may be chased during the final year should there be any outstanding. Well done on getting this far and hope the remainder of your journey is a smooth one.
