Hi Manmountain and firstly well done on completing your IVA, the co-op is IVA friendly so they might be able to help although i know they have recently announced clauses with people who are insolvant but you aren't so i would give them a bell, could you not ask your IP for a letter of compliance and hopefully that would suffice for the interim?

Good luck and i hope that you soon get sorted. xx
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

Bear in mind that your poor credit rating will drag down the credit rating of whoever you open the account with. It may be worthwhile keeping separate accounts until the IVA is fully removed from your credit record. I dont want to sound mean - its just that my boyfriend and I had to have the same discussion recently. He wanted a joint account but I had to say no - no point both of us having a worthless credit rating. At least at the moment one of us can get a mortgage!!

Yes highly advisable not to link financially whilst one of your credit files is showing negative data.

Just wait it out until such time both credit files are good.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

The Secure Trust account is also a good one, and whilst costing £12.50 per month to operate, this could be a quick fix for you until you can get your IVA concluded - if you are unable to source free banking anywhere.
