Dear all.
I completed my IVA a couple of years ago, with Full and Final payment.
I am coming to 65 in June.
I have a interest only payment at present, which will finish in about 3 years time.
I intend to work beyond 65 and would like to extend my Mortgage, My prsent lender may extend it to me reaching 70, is there any one who extends it beyond 70?By that time my children will have finished university and will be able to help clear mortgage.
I shall be able to take retirement and returiewsn to work and be able to clear some mortgage from Lump sum I receive, I am thinking of working up to 70.
Any views.
Thanks.
Hara.

approach a whole of market broker to discuss your options. Is the IVA still on your credit file?(it will be on there for 6 years from when it started).

Our mortgage provider (Halifax) was prepared to go up to age 75 with a letter from existing employer. We decided to keep them out of the loop, however, and extended just (JUST!!!) to age 70. We were changing to a repayment mortgage though - don't know how they would view extending an interest-only one.
