Hi All,

I was a success story, managed to complete my IVA four years early and received my completion certificate over a year ago. My credit file was in a mess but managed to eventually get all the defaults moved to pre IVA arrangement date.

Issue is that i am still showing up as really really bad credit rating (which I do understand). Just under a year ago managed to get a Vanquis CC (small balance which I pay monthly) and also have the CashpPlus credit builder at £5 a month to help building my rating. Yet in fact it seems to have deteriorated.

Any other suggestions on how to improve my credit score?

Also, what annoys me is that for each creditor they defaulted balances on my credit reports show the full amount that what still owed at time of start of IVA - i nearly paid back 100% owed in the end, can i get them to reduce the figures down on the defaulted balances on my credit report (or is that pointless)?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hope you dont mind me posting this here!

no one will mind you posting.
I believe your credit report will show the full debt till the six years are up. although you paid by a f&f.
IVA now over with and it was worth it.
now starting my life again,

I think that the IVA stays on the credit file for 6 years from meeting date irrespective if you completed early.

From reading the forum this is the point you start tidying it up and getting it in order.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

As said above, the mess will stay there until the 6th anniversary of the start of your IVA. You have done well to get the defaults correctly dated ( the amounts showing are irrelevant as a default is a default ). Keep an eye on them until that 6th anniversary, as some creditors have been known to sneak them back in! Then, all things being equal, the whole caboodle will drop off into oblivion, leaving the green ticks you are collecting. Your credit rating should sky rocket overnight !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
