We have been paying our IVA for 3 years I made an offer for a full and final settlement. This was rejected 2 weeks ago as I could not prove I would not get any more work as I am a contractor I get what is available. Tried to explain he way my job worked in that if I asked for proof I would get no work then I would basically be stating I don't want work which is not the case.

After putting a bit of pressure on GT to go back to the creditors and to be honest they forwarded my email which was nothing short of a rant I have just had the best phone call to state that they have now accepted my counter offer. Therefore I am going to settle this week on £9k which means we finish 2 years early and don't have to worry about the remaining £20k. Having paid £14k over 3 years and this full and final offer of £9k our £45k debt will be gone and I feel so much pressure lifted [8D]

Well done to you and GT. It was well worth the extra pressure.

It is something that we would do in our firm as a matter of course, if we felt you genuinely were making the best attempts at concluding the IVA - but well done to all concernedc, especially you for being insistent and persistent!
