hi last payment due out July, however have to release equity from house. I have just been told that due to only having just under 4 years left on my mortgage I would not be able to release 5000 and under the Iva protocol this then would finish my Iva without having to extend the iva for another 12 months. Can someone please confirm this or have I been advised wrongly.

Difficult for anyone here to confirm this for you stew, as none of us have any detailed knowledge of your case. If your IP has confirmed this, then I would simply go with their decision.

If in doubt ask to speak to your IP rather than the caseworkers ..you may get a more detailed explanation that will help.
